8 days. Strenuous ascent and descent, otherwise easy hikes, one to fourteen people.

Day 1: Arrival from your home and flight to Algiers. Arrival in Algiers and transit for a flight to Djanet. Arrival in Djanet shortly before midnight. Welcome by Tahar and his team with their off-road vehicles and transfer to the bivouac at the foot of the plateau.

Day 2: The donkey drivers and pack animals await you. After breakfast, we begin a steep ascent (700 m elevation gain) over scree and rocky sections, crossing three passes to reach Tamrit. You will carry your daypack. You will reach a high plateau where you will hike for the next few days. Lunch break in Tamrit. In the afternoon, you will visit the first of the Tin Soumaitak paintings, the Cypress Valley, and the Tamrit Gorge. Overnight stay in Tamrit.

Day 3: You hike through a labyrinth of eroded rock formations to the In Itinen paintings. You will see vivid scenes of travel and camp life from the Camel Period (from the beginning of the Common Era). You continue your hike to the Tetarast N'Elias paintings (Cattle Period, 4000 to 1500 BC). Lunch break in Sefar. The village resembles a ruined city, with numerous, mostly painted, rock shelters along its streets. You visit "White" Sefar. The over three-meter-high, white-painted figure of the Great God from the Roundhead Period (7000 to 6000 BC) is impressive. You will see the Fisherman's God and enigmatic masked dancers in reddish-brown colors, as well as numerous paintings from the Cattle Period. Overnight stay in Sefar.

Day 4: Today you begin with a hike to Tin Tazarift. See paintings from the Roundhead period (hunters with helmets and "swimmers") and paintings depicting the daily life of cattle herders. In the afternoon, visit "Black" Sefar. Overnight in Sefar.

Day 5: Trek back to Tamrit via Isaoualafen (through Tan Soumaitak). Visit some of the paintings hidden among the rocks. Lunch in Tamrit. In the afternoon, continue to the descent pass and visit the elegant paintings depicting three antelopes, mouflon, and women with body paint. Bivouac above the Tekbel Onfasse pass in Ouan Aghreben.

Day 6: After breakfast, you descend via the Tafelelat Pass, arriving at the Oued Tassetouft at midday. Here you bid farewell to the donkeys and their drivers. You continue by 4x4 vehicles to Essendilene, where you will set up camp.

Day 7: After breakfast, we visit the beautiful Qued of Essendilene, a blend of palm trees, boulders, oleander, and guelta. In the afternoon, we return to Djanet. You can visit the Ksour of El Mihane, the large market hall, and the surrounding shops where you can find handicrafts, fabrics, and everyday items. In the evening, you will have dinner in Tegharghart. Afterward, transfer to the airport.

Day 8: Very early morning flight to Algiers, onward flight to the destination airport and return journey home.
