Hiking accompanied by all-wheel drive vehicles.

You will hike daily with your daypack, accompanied by your guide, for two to three hours each morning and afternoon, across dunes, small mountain passes, and rugged plains inaccessible to cars. At midday and in the evening, you will meet up with the vehicles, your guides, your luggage, and the rest of your equipment.

Traveling with riding and pack camels.

You ride for three to four hours every day, using the saddles common here, which are tied in front of the hump, so that their bare feet rest on the animal's neck. After a short adjustment period, you come to enjoy this meditative mode of transport. The camels are very well-trained and docile, allowing them to take them across a wide variety of landscapes.

Round trip in off-road vehicles.

This allows for longer distances to be covered. The focus is on experiencing the landscape and visiting rock paintings and petroglyphs. Some of the most interesting rock shelters with prehistoric paintings and engravings in the west and east of the Djanet oasis can only be reached this way, as they are located further away. Each morning and afternoon, you can hike for an hour if you wish. Your daypack can remain in the car during this time.

Hiking accompanied by pack donkeys.

This type of trek is particularly suitable for tours in rocky terrain. You hike for two to three hours each morning and afternoon, carrying your own daypack. Donkeys transport the rest of your luggage and equipment. You might not encounter another person for days, immersing yourself in the starkness of the desert. Many regions with particularly interesting rock paintings are only accessible with the help of pack donkeys.
