8 days, one to ten people.

 

Day 1: Departure from your nearest airport. Arrival in Algiers and transit for a flight to Djanet. Arrival in Djanet shortly before midnight. Welcome by Tahar and his team with their 4x4 vehicles and transfer to the bivouac.

 

Day 2: After breakfast, transfer by 4x4 to the location where the camels and their handlers await you. Over the following days, you can choose between camel riding or camel trekking. You can switch between the two at any time. Accommodation for the night is available on site.

 

Day 3: The journey begins heading west. You choose a camel and receive instruction on how to ride it. After two and a half hours, you reach the small dunes of Calambu, where you will stop for lunch. In the afternoon, you will cross the so-called Stone Forest. You will spend the night in Tekat In Tanure.

 

Day 4: Today you ride across the In Aramas plateau. Lunch break amidst bizarre rock formations. In the afternoon, you ride through diverse landscapes near Akzel. Overnight camp near Tilelen.

 

Day 5: After breakfast, you will ride through the sparsely wooded valleys of Akzel and Tilelen, dotted with acacia trees and scrub. Lunch break in the low dunes of Tiwatateren. You will then ride south through the Til Afazou valley. Overnight stay in the Assasou valley.

 

Day 6: Continue riding through the Assasou Valley. Lunch break near In Eluku. You will then cross another dune landscape, followed by a valley with a giant mushroom-shaped rock formation and a natural arch. Overnight in Tisras.

 

Day 7: Say goodbye to the camels and their handlers. The 4x4 vehicles will pick you up in Tisras and take you to Djanet. Enjoy a walk and lunch in the gardens. Visit Djanet's large market hall. In the evening, transfer to Djanet airport.

 

Day 8: Very early morning flight to Algiers, onward flight to the departure airport and return journey home.

 

€900 per participant (round trip only, from/to Djanet Airport). This price increases by 200% for a solo traveler and by 50% per participant for two participants. Minor changes to the itinerary are possible.

 

You are welcome to combine this one-week trip with another (even a shorter one). A two-week trip can also be shortened for this purpose.
